Our semi/private lessons are priced according to the teacher experience. Many of our teachers are experienced, native and certified. We offer lessons for families, parent and child, or a group of your friends. Lessons are customized for what's good for your family. Are you a big kid and want to learn a language? 2010 Language Class Information

Students will enter class and will be immersed in the target language. Our teachers are great at ensuring everyone understands even if you've never heard a word of the language before. Our curriculum is based on the using the five senses, so students will be learning words, phrases and expressions they can use.

Namste Hindi

Did you know that Namste is a common Hindi greeting used in India? Most grownups know this from Yoga Class. Students will absorb the Hindi language in an effortless manner through their five senses. They will find the secrets and charm of this ancient culture. Students will try a tabla drum, sitar, bollywood dancing and experience Henna while immersed in the third most commonly-spoken language in the world (www.krystal.com/spoken.html). Cost: $90

Learn the Alif Ba Taa (Arabic ABC'S) at Clovis Grove Menasha

Is it not all about war and religion. The alphabet and hummus were invented in the Middle East. Did you know that Arabic is spoken in 27 different countries and is the fifth most commonly spoken native language in the world?

In this artistic approach, you can expect at the end of this course that your child will be able to identify where Arabic is spoken, recite the alphabet, and read and write some simple phrases. Children will also create their own Arabic masterpiece of their name. Children will learn to write from right to left (they might tell you that is backwards). Cost $80

Time/dates: Mondays and Thursdays right after school until 4:30 p.m. in Mrs. Kroiss's room. January 19, 21, 25; February 1, 4, 8, 11, and March 1.

Ni Hao Beginning Chinese at Huntley School Classes are designed to teach communicative skills and functional language - as well as to read and write Chinese while exploring the art and culture of China and games. We include take-home materials so parents can continue to provide support at home. Cost: $125

Dates/times: January 14, 28; February 4, 11, 18, 25; March 4, 11, from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Intro to Chinese (all ages 5-10) This class will expose children to the Chinese language and culture through the Chinese New Year curriculum. Parents can expect their children to speak and understand a handful of characters while experiencing the Chinese New Year Festival. This class will allow children to immersed in the language with language clues. Cost: $125.

Spanish

SpanArt at Ferber Elementary School is an exciting learning experience that integrates learning creativity and free expressiosn while children explore different mediums while learning Spanish. Spanish and Art are great ways to experience the world of color and communication where curiousity, exploration and fun are allowed. Cost: $80

Location: Classes are held at Ferber School in the TAG room immediately after school until 4:30 p.m.

Dates: January 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23 and March 2, 2010.

Teachers speak primarily in Spanish during class time as the children participate in engaging activities that build confidence in speaking Spanish. Daily class activities include small groups activities, music and movement, role playing, individual instruction, arts and crafts, games, and culture. Cost: $80

Location: Belanno's studio, located on the third floor at City Center Plaza, Appleton, Wis.

Dates/times: 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. February 6, 13, 20, 27; March 6, 13, 20, 27.

Spanish at Belanno's Studio (Grades K-3), Tuesday evening class
Teachers speak primarily in Spanish during class time as the children participate in engaging activities that build confidence in speaking Spanish. Daily class activities include small groups activities, music and movement, role playing, individual instruction, arts and crafts, games, and culture. Cost: $80

Japanese at St Margaret Mary, Neenah

Do you say hello with one kiss, two kisses or a bow? Knowing the right words is only one part of communication. Introductory Japanese language and culture classes will include Japanese language, Japanese games (Origami, SuDoDku, and Iro-oni), Japnese food, Japanese martial arts, tea ceremony, and Japanese dance. Cost: $150
